SPITI VALLEY : The Spiti valley is a desert mountain valley located high in the Himalayan Mountains in the North Easter part of Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Spiti means middle of the land i.e land between Tibet and India.
Culture: It possesses a distinctive Buddhist similar to that found in Tibet Autonomous region and Ladakh. This valley and its surroundings are one of the least populated regions in India. This district is connected to Manali through the Rohtang Pass. To the south, Spiti ends 24 km from Tabo, at the Sumdo where the road enters Kinnaur and joins with National Highway No. 22
